The News
Mike Williams will start at split end for the Seahawks in their opener this weekend, according to
Mike Sando of ESPN.
Our View
Williams will be playing in a role that usually runs the deep routes, but his speed has always been a concern. And then there's the fact that the 'Hawks will likely to struggle to keep their quarterback upright. He's one starter to avoid in fantasy leagues this year, as are most of Seattle's skill players.

The News
James Butler (sprained MCL) resumed practicing in team drills Wednesday, according to the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Our View
Craig Dahl looks like the starter at strong safety, at least early on. Butler's been working with the scout team, a sign that he's got a ways to go after missing nearly all of training camp.

The News
Donovan McNabb (ankle) practiced without limitations Wednesday, according to
ESPN.
Our View
McNabb's looking healthier and healthier, and he's already confirmed that he'll start this week. Although the veteran QB has stated that Washington can't win without disgruntled DT Albert Haynesworth, they'd have a tougher time with McNabb. Looks like he'll be full-speed for his third tilt with the Cowboys in his past three games.

The News
The Texans reached an injury settlement with kicker Kris Brown, according to
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Our View
Brown's been the only kicker in Texans history. He was on injured reserve with plantar fasciitis until the settlement was reached. He can now sign with any team.

The News
The Colts claimed offensive tackle Joe Reitz off waivers from Miami Wednesday, according to ESPN's
Adam Schefter.
Our View
They'll take anything they can get at this point. OT Tony Ugoh was waived today, and this move fills his spot. He's a developmental guy with some upside, but it's concerning that the Dolphins and Ravens passed on him so easily.

The News
Coach Tom Cable confirmed that Michael Bush (thumb) has a "real chance" to play week one, according to
Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Our View
Bush is practicing with limited restrictions, and the only other option would be Darren McFadden, so obviously the team is hopeful he can go Sunday. Unfortunately, the injury is on Bush's dominant left hand, so he'd be forced to carry the ball in his right.

The News
Knowshon Moreno was a full participant in Broncos practice Wednesday, according to
Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post.
Our View
The week one situation is looking good for Moreno. If he works fully all week, he'll be a much better fantasy start for opening weekend. At the very least, he should play extensively against a poor Jacksonville run defense.

The News
Aaron Kampman (knee) is not on the Jaguars injury report, according to
Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.
Our View
Stellino sounds hopeful, adding that "Kampman didn't even have a wrap on his knee." He's coming off a torn ACL, but the quicker he returns, the brighter the outlook for Jacksonville's pass rush. He's got a shot to play week one.

The News
Demaryius Thomas (foot) was a full participant in Broncos practice Wednesday, according to
Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post.
Our View
The rookie receiver's status for week one is still up in the air, but this is a good sign. Of course his option offense roots and lack of experience this offseason could be bigger obstacles to his playing time than any injury.

The News
The Colts waived offensive lineman Tony Ugoh Wednesday, according to
ESPN.
Our View
Ugoh is out for the season with either a dislocated or fractured toe. Yet another blow to the Colts offensive line which was already dealing with center Jeff Saturday's recovery from knee surgery and Charlie Johnson's injured foot. Luckily, Peyton Manning has always made this line look better than it actually is.
